AI Mammon Devours the Household While Supply Chains Burn

Import prices for manufactured goods, led by computers and electronic products, have surged under the weight of the AI investment boom. This second shock follows the supply-chain disruptions of 2021-2022 and now accelerates currency debasement across the Western economies.

Import prices for manufactured goods, particularly computers and electronic products, have climbed sharply as the AI investment boom accelerates. The same corporate forces that engineered the first supply-chain shock now pour capital into data centers and silicon infrastructure, bidding up global inputs and transmitting higher costs directly into household ledgers.

These actors operate as the Technocratic Automaton, a managerial priesthood that treats production as an abstract race for computational supremacy rather than service to place and people. Their investments do not expand real output for families; they concentrate capital in server farms and chip foundries that raise the price of every downstream device and component.

Western Christendom once ordered economic life through guild statutes and household stewardship that kept capital loyal to locality and moral law, forbidding the usurious extraction that severed work from its fruits. The present regime inverts that inheritance, allowing global supply chains to serve machine expansion while households absorb the debasement.

Inflation in this instance is not an accident of distant events but the predictable outcome when sovereign monetary authority yields to private technological ambition. The central bank’s failure to restrain credit creation meets the concentrated demand of AI capital, producing price signals that punish the productive remnant and reward the dispossessors.

Scripture and the creeds condemn the reduction of man to an economic unit whose labor merely feeds the insatiable appetite of mammon. The doctrines of grace and covenant household require instead an economy in which property serves generational faithfulness rather than quarterly computational growth.

The second inflation wave therefore exposes the deeper disorder: a financial order that privileges abstract intelligence over embodied inheritance. Families now confront higher costs for the very tools once promised to liberate them, while the architects of the boom insulate themselves behind asset inflation.

The faithful remnant must therefore withdraw consent from the silicon altar. They must redirect labor, savings, and patronage toward local production, honest weights, and capital that remains bound to nation and household rather than to the next model of artificial mind.

Only such deliberate reordering can break the cycle in which technological priesthood inflates its own demands at the expense of the City of God.
