Legislators in Iowa have begun dismantling DEI bureaucracies across the state's universities and rewriting general education mandates to require substantive study of U.S. history and government. The reforms directly confront the ideological apparatus installed over recent decades by administrators who answer to no electorate and serve no standard higher than engineered consensus.

These functionaries of the new order have replaced the transmission of inherited knowledge with compulsory loyalty tests and the reduction of every discipline to narratives of grievance. In their place Iowa restores requirements that students encounter the actual record of the republic and the principles that ordered its founding.

Such restoration echoes the curricular reforms undertaken at Wittenberg in the sixteenth century, when Luther and Melanchthon purged the universities of scholastic accretions and reoriented study toward the recovered sources of Christian and classical learning. The pattern is the same: an entrenched class claiming guardianship of knowledge is displaced by those who insist that truth precedes institutional power.

The governing principle remains constant across centuries. Education exists to form souls in reality, not to manufacture conformity to the latest doctrines of the City of Man. When universals are treated as constructs and moral order as opinion, the institutions charged with passing on the patrimony become instruments of its erasure.

The Iowa action therefore does not merely adjust administrative policy; it reasserts that the household and the commonwealth possess rightful authority over the formation of the next generation. The Managerial Priesthood, having seized the classroom to advance its leveling project, now faces elected reclamation of that ground.

Other states must follow the same course without apology or delay. Parallel institutions will be required where entrenched faculties refuse correction, yet the immediate duty lies with legislatures that still answer to the people rather than to foundation grants and accreditation cartels.

The faithful remnant cannot remain spectators while the transmission of memory is completed or aborted. They must support every measure that severs public funds from ideological enforcement and must raise up new centers of learning ordered to the creeds, the canon, and the constitutional inheritance.
