Governor J.B. Pritzker, acting as the chief Dispossessor of parental sovereignty, has enacted SB 3341 to grant minors independent authority over contraceptive services. The statute permits children to receive prescriptions and collect devices at pharmacies, bypassing the household head and the natural order of protection that has defined Christian family life since the apostolic era.

This measure does not arise from medical necessity but from the deliberate transfer of authority from covenant fathers to the administrative state. It continues the long campaign, visible since the managerial revolutions of the twentieth century, to replace the patriarchal household with state tutelage over the young.

The governing principle violated here is the creedal and scriptural order of the family as the first sphere of rule under God. From the Nicene affirmation of one holy catholic Church to the Puritan doctrine of covenant households, Western Christendom has held that parents, not magistrates, bear primary responsibility for the moral formation and physical guardianship of their children.

Augustine warned against the earthly city that claims the soul's allegiance; the Illinois statute embodies that claim by substituting bureaucratic permission for paternal oversight in matters of chastity and fertility. The five solas of the Reformation further underscore that no human institution may insert itself as mediator between the believer's household and divine law.

By this act the state confesses its own character as the City of Man, hostile to the ordered hierarchy of fatherhood and the accumulated wisdom handed down through generations of Christian commonwealths. The law does not expand liberty; it dissolves the natural bonds that alone restrain youthful impulse and transmit generational continuity.

The Faithful Remnant must therefore refuse cooperation with this regime of dispossession. Parents retain the duty, under the doctrines of grace and the patriarchal order, to reassert direct authority over their children's moral and medical decisions regardless of statutory pretense.

Parallel institutions of household governance and covenant schooling must now be strengthened so that no child of the covenant is left dependent upon the pharmacy counter of the managerial priesthood. The alternative is the slow erasure of the Christian household itself.
